A set of four original Jitona chairs from the 1970s, produced in former Czechoslovakia, exemplifies the restrained aesthetics of mid-century modern design. The frames are crafted from mahogany wood in a deep, warm brown with a semi-matte finish that accentuates the natural grain. Seats are upholstered in a new, light olive-green fabric with a soft, matte texture, creating a fresh contrast to the darker wood. The backrests feature four horizontal, gently curved slats, while the legs are slender, slightly tapered, and splayed for visual lightness. The construction is reinforced with crossbars and dowel joints, ensuring solidity. The set is preserved in very good condition: the wooden surfaces have been refreshed, showing only minor and superficial signs of use, while the upholstery is new, free from stains or damage.
