This set of four Italian chairs by Effezeta, dating from the 1980s, exemplifies the distinctive postmodern aesthetic that defined Italian design of the era. The chairs feature matte black seats upholstered in eco-leather, paired with slender, bent plywood backrests finished in a warm, honey-toned veneer with a soft satin sheen. The highly polished chrome-plated steel frame and legs lend a sense of lightness and a mirror-like effect, while the integrated armrests flow seamlessly from the legs to the backrests, emphasizing organic, dynamic lines. Visible screw connections at the backrest ends and outward-splayed legs further highlight the modern character of the design. The set is preserved in good condition – chromed elements are in very good shape, the seats show minor signs of wear and varying degrees of matte finish, and the wooden backrests display subtle discoloration and age-appropriate patina.
