This set of four Polish chairs from the 1920s embodies the refined fusion of late Art Nouveau and early Art Deco, visible in both proportions and intricate detailing. The oak frame, finished in a warm medium brown with a semi-matte sheen, accentuates the natural grain and solidity of the wood. Each chair features straight, slender legs with a square profile, capped with small gold-colored metal feet that provide both a decorative accent and protection for the wood. The seats and tall backrests are upholstered in satin-finish fabric: vertical stripes in deep burgundy, creamy ivory, and gold harmonize with a discreet floral motif woven into the gold bands.
