This set of five oak dining chairs from the 1960s was crafted in a rustic brutalist style, characteristic of mid-20th-century Scandinavian rural furniture—most likely originating from Sweden. The robust construction features thick, squared legs and stretchers for enhanced stability, while the seats are formed from three wide, flat planks with gently rounded edges, each displaying subtle tonal variations and a natural patina. The backrests consist of two horizontal slats, the top one intricately carved with geometric and stylized cut-out motifs that provide a decorative yet rugged accent. The medium honey-brown oak finish reveals a pronounced wood grain, and the semi-matte surface preserves the tactile quality of the material. Visible dowel joints emphasize the handcrafted nature of the set.
