This set of five brutalist dining chairs from Belgium, dating from the 1960s, stands as a testament to authentic mid-century craftsmanship. Made entirely of solid wood in medium to dark brown tones, the chairs reveal pronounced wood grain, highlighted by a semi-gloss lacquered finish that enhances the natural texture. The design is defined by robust, angular profiles and sturdy, visible joinery that underscore its artisanal origins. Each chair features a wide, gently curved seat and a ladder-back with three horizontal slats, the top slat subtly arched for ergonomic comfort. Thick, straight legs are connected by strong stretchers, ensuring stability throughout the set. Minor age-related marks, such as small scratches and a touch of patina, are visible on the surface, but overall the set is preserved in very good vintage condition, free of major defects and ready for use.
