This set of five ceramic plates from the 1930s is a distinct expression of Art Deco and Bauhaus aesthetics, both of which defined the rhythm of European modernism in the interwar period. Made from porcelain with a smooth, glossy finish, the plates feature thinly finished edges and striking geometric decorations. The spritzdekor airbrush technique lends a soft, gradient effect to the coloring, with warm shades of yellow complemented by deep brown, burnt orange, and white accents. The set includes one larger plate and four smaller ones, each with a similar motif but subtle variations in the arrangement of abstract circles, rectangles, and lines. Originating from Germany, the set is preserved in very good condition: only minor chips and surface scratches can be found on some of the smaller plates, characteristic of age and use.
