A set of five Italian vest buttons from the late 19th century, crafted with the millefiori micromosaic technique. Each button, measuring 1.5 cm in diameter and 0.7 cm in height, features a compact yet distinctive composition: a gilt brass base with a softly matt, patinated finish adorned by a finely detailed glass mosaic. The micromosaic design centers around a turquoise circle with a white star, surrounded by four white fan motifs outlined in cobalt and soft pink, with fine red and ochre geometric accents filling the spaces in between. The perimeter is framed by a regular array of raised triangular gold prongs, giving definition and texture to the border. All details are meticulously arranged from tiny colored glass tesserae, and each button is preserved in very good condition—with no missing mosaic elements and only minor traces of age on the gilding, free of significant damage.Each button seems to tell the story of late 19th-century Italian craftsmanship
