This set of four armchairs, designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for Søborg Møbelfabrik in the 1950s, exemplifies classic Danish mid-century modern design. The frames are crafted from teak wood in a warm, medium tone, finished with Danish oil that enhances the visible grain and natural texture. The sculpted, gently curved backrests and seamlessly integrated, rounded armrests showcase superior craftsmanship. Slender, cylindrical legs are connected by horizontal stretchers, ensuring stability and balanced proportions. The seats are upholstered in Kvadrat’s hallingdal wool fabric in a salt-and-pepper blend of grey and black, offering a soft, matte contrast to the teak.
