This set of four Model J 62 armchairs is a design by Poul M. Volther for the Danish cooperative FDB Møbler, originating from the 1960s. The frames are crafted from solid oak, with a distinctive, visible wood grain accentuated by a satin wax finish. Typical of Scandinavian modernism, the legs are slender and straight, while gently rounded armrests contribute to the visual lightness. The seats and backrests are upholstered in a high-quality, matte fabric in a muted olive green tone. All joinery is precise and discreet, with no visible metal fittings. Each chair retains the original manufacturer's signature: “Made in Denmark / FDB Møbler.” Condition: fully restored, freshly refinished wood, new upholstery, and no visible signs of use.These chairs embody the spirit of Danish design from the 1960s: a narrative of balance between functionality and understated elegance.
