This set of four Birillo bar stools, designed in 1971 by Joe Colombo for Zanotta, embodies the forward-thinking spirit of Italy’s Space Age design of the 1970s. Their construction is defined by a graphic, sculptural geometry: substantial square bases in X-form made of lacquered black plastic with a subtle matte sheen anchor each stool, supporting a highly polished, chromed metal central column and footrest.
