This set of four hand-crafted ceramic bowls, created in a Danish studio in the 1980s, embodies the spirit of late 20th-century Scandinavian studio pottery. Each bowl is unique, showcasing a distinct artistic technique and glaze: the largest stands on three spiral-shaped feet and features a matte turquoise finish with visible, irregular brushstrokes that give it a soft, cool character. Another, oval in form, is adorned with a glossy surface in cobalt blue, turquoise, and touches of ochre, with a fluid, marbled pattern and a satiny sheen. The conical bowl displays a matte light grey base with a dramatic black crackle network typical of raku firing, while the smallest piece is coated in a blue-green matte glaze with a fine, dark crackle web, also characteristic of raku. Visible hand-forming marks and subtle asymmetries emphasize the artisanal, one-of-a-kind nature of each bowl.
