ABOUT PRODUCTID 26675
This set of four bar stools, handcrafted in Germany in the 1960s, embodies a brutalist approach to furniture design. Each stool is constructed from solid oak in a warm, honey-brown tone, with visible wood grain, natural knots, and a gentle patina. The square seats have softly beveled edges, while the thick, outward-angled legs are joined by undulating stretchers that give the form an organic rhythm. The backrests stand out with oval cutouts and dynamically flared sides, emphasizing the sculptural intent of the piece. The wood is finished matte with subtle satin highlights, revealing the artisan's hand and the authenticity of the material. Only traditional joinery methods were used, with no metal fittings. Each stool measures 115 cm in height, 50 cm in width and depth, and the seat height is 85 cm. The stools are in good vintage condition—minor scratches and gentle signs of use are present, typical for their age, but there is no significant damage or evidence of restoration. These stools resonate with the brutalist spirit of the 1960s: honesty of material, strength of form, and respect for handcraft. The honeyed oak, unafraid to show its knots and color variations, seems to tell stories of past
