This set of four Art Deco chairs from the first half of the 20th century exemplifies the refined craftsmanship of the interwar period. Constructed from walnut-veneered wood in a warm, amber-brown tone with a polished, glossy finish, each chair displays subtle variations in grain that give it unique character. The design is distinctly Art Deco, featuring geometric, rectilinear forms and gently curved backrests composed of two horizontal slats beneath a wide, slightly arched top rail—all clad in the same polished walnut veneer. The seats are upholstered in new, light beige velvet fabric with a matte, velvety texture, creating a striking contrast with the darker wood and emphasizing the clarity of the silhouette. The legs are straight and robust, with the rear legs subtly splayed for stability and a touch of dynamism. Clean joinery and seamless transitions between elements reflect high-quality execution. The set is in very good condition, having undergone professional restoration, with natural wood patina maintained and fresh upholstery—showing no visible signs of wear or repairs.
