A set of four dining chairs designed by Helge Sibast and Børge Rammerskov for the Danish Sibast manufactory in the 1960s exemplifies mature Scandinavian design in the spirit of mid-century modern. The chairs are crafted from rosewood in a deep, warm brown with pronounced, multi-tonal grain and a subtle semi-gloss finish that accentuates the wood’s natural structure. The backrests are sculpted and ergonomically contoured, gently curved and tapered at the ends, lending fluidity and subtlety to the form. The seats are upholstered in new, matte black natural leather, creating a measured contrast with the frame and ensuring comfort.
