ABOUT PRODUCTID 36985
This set of four Model 26 chairs was designed by Henry Kjærnulf for Korup Stolefabrik in Denmark during the 1960s—a period marked by the rise of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design. The construction features teak wood frames with a pronounced, natural grain and a satin, gently glossy finish. The backrests are organically contoured, offering visual softness, while the slender, tapered legs give the chairs an airy silhouette. The seats are upholstered in a muted, olive green fabric with a soft, velvety texture, gently contrasting with the warmth of the teak. The joinery remains invisible, emphasizing quality craftsmanship, and the overall proportions are balanced: wide seats and ergonomically curved backs enhance comfort. The legs are reinforced with horizontal stretchers. The set is in excellent condition following professional restoration—freshly oiled wood, taut and clean upholstery, with no visible traces of heavy use. The listed price refers to the complete set of four chairs. These chairs echo the voice of Scandinavian modernism from the 1960s: understated yet quietly dynamic. Teak and matte green fabric evoke an era when function met organic form, and the home was envisioned as a space of harmony and simplicity. The subtle sheen of the wood captures light as if it held the glow of northern sunlight, while the gentle curves of the backrests invite lingering conversations around the table. The Model 26 set can be paired with an oak or teak table of minimalist design to highlight its mid-century modern heritage. It would suit a bright dining room, a living area with books and graphic art on the walls, or a contemporary space accented with selected vintage elements. Consider combining the
