A set of four Model 49 chairs, designed by Erik Buch for Oddense Maskinsnedkeri AS in Denmark in the early 1960s, exemplifies the maturity of mid-century modern design. The construction features robust rosewood frames with a warm, medium-dark reddish-brown hue, accentuated by a pronounced natural grain and subtle tonal variations. The wood is finished in semi-matte Danish oil, preserving both smoothness and depth. Seats and backrests are newly upholstered in matte black natural leather—taut and smooth, highlighting the precision of craftsmanship.
