This set of four Model 49 chairs, designed by Erik Buch and produced by the Danish manufactory Oddense Maskinsnedkeri in the 1960s, is constructed from teak wood in a warm, medium brown tone with pronounced grain, highlighted by a satin Danish oil finish. The design is defined by organic, flowing lines, gently reclined backrests, and sculpted, tapered legs that lend the silhouette visual lightness. The seats and backrests are upholstered in a densely woven, high-quality fabric in a deep grey shade with subtle beige undertones and a soft, matte texture. Precise joinery, visible mortise-and-tenon connections, and the absence of visible hardware underscore the set’s seamless, minimalist character.
