A set of four Model CH33 chairs, designed by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1957, exemplifies Danish design from the 1960s. Each chair features a solid frame crafted from oak and teak, finished with a Danish oil that highlights the natural grain and rich, honey-brown tones with subtle reddish undertones. The seats are reupholstered in new, high-quality matte black natural leather, creating a distinctive contrast against the warmth of the wood. The proportions are balanced: a low, wide seat (seat height 48 cm), a broad, gently winged backrest, and tapered legs. Precision joinery and a robust stretcher beneath the seat attest to the level of craftsmanship. The chairs have undergone comprehensive carpentry and upholstery restoration, showing no visible signs of wear—preserved in excellent, authentic condition, faithful to the original design.
