The set of four MR10 chairs designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and produced in Italy by Fasem in the 1970s stands as an emblematic example of modernist design inspired by the Bauhaus movement. Each chair features the hallmark cantilevered structure formed from a continuous tubular chromed steel frame with a reflective, mirror-like finish, flowing seamlessly from base to backrest in a minimalist, geometric silhouette without armrests. The seat and backrest are crafted from warm, reddish-brown leather with a subtle satin sheen, displaying natural patina and visible signs of use. Reinforced stitching and additional leather inserts at weakened areas demonstrate careful attention to durability and comfort. The chromed frame shows localized chrome loss and minor surface corrosion, especially around joints and bends. All joints are welded, with no visible screws or bolts. The set is preserved in restored condition, following inspection and reinforcement by a saddler—authentic traces of age and use are clearly present. Sold exclusively as a complete set of four chairs.
