This set of four dining chairs from Belgium, dating to the 1970s, exemplifies vintage design built on a dialogue between refined materials and geometric discipline. Each chair is constructed on a slender, polished brass frame in a golden hue, with a highly reflective surface that catches the light and accentuates the sharpness of the form. The straight, slim legs support a rectangular seat, while the tall, gently curved backrest is topped with a decorative grid of squares and crosses, alluding to modernist takes on Art Deco. Both the seat and the central vertical strip of the backrest are upholstered in original, mustard yellow suede with a matte, velvety texture.
