This set of four dining chairs, designed by Pietro Arosio for Airon in the 1980s, exemplifies Italian postmodernism rooted in minimalism and graphic contrast. The construction features white, smoothly bent metal tubing forming slightly splayed legs and low, curved backrests. The seats are made of matte black lacquered wood with a pronounced central circular cut-out—a geometric detail characteristic of the era’s experimental approach. Black plastic or rubber feet echo the seat’s tone and protect the floor. The proportions are compact and balanced (height 70 cm, width 42 cm, depth 40 cm, seat height 45 cm), offering both visual lightness and practical use.
