ABOUT PRODUCTID 19658
This set of four 'Terrazza Landscape' sofa modules, designed by Ubald Klug for De Sede in the 1970s, exemplifies sculptural modernism inspired by geological forms. Each element has a striking, terraced profile, evoking natural hillsides and alpine contours with cascading, step-like surfaces. Crafted in high-quality, full-grained natural leather in a deep burgundy tone, the matte-satin finish reduces glare and accentuates the visual softness. The construction is monolithic; there are no visible legs or metallic details, and the modules rest directly on the floor to enhance their grounded, architectural presence. The seats are generous, with high, multi-level backrests forming an enveloping silhouette; stitching is discreetly tucked within the recesses, which strengthens the flowing line of each form. The style is rooted in 1970s modernism, defined by organic inspiration and experimental volumetry, while uniform color and clear geometry focus attention on texture and proportion. The set has undergone professional restoration and remains in excellent condition – the leather has been refinished and shows no significant signs of wear, staining, or structural damage.
