ABOUT PRODUCTID 34668
This set of six 'Lotos' goblets is a distinguished example of 1970s Polish design, created by Professor Zbigniew Horbowy for the Huta Szkła Artystycznego 'Barbara' glassworks in Polanica-Zdrój. Each goblet is crafted from hand-blown, transparent glass in a vibrant lime-green hue, featuring a subtle gradient that shifts from saturated green at the base and stem to a lighter, almost yellow-green shade at the bowl. The goblets are defined by their elongated, slender stems and organically shaped bowls, reflecting a distinctly modernist, minimalist aesthetic. Proportions are meticulously balanced, with an architectural lightness emphasized by the wide, stable base. The glass surface is glossy and perfectly smooth, showing no signs of wear, chips, or clouding. The entire set is preserved in very good condition – all six goblets have survived without damage, a rarity among collectible pieces of this kind. These goblets carry the spirit of the 1970s – an era when Polish modernism pursued refined simplicity and clarity of form. The slender stems and lotus bud-inspired bowls seem to tell a tale of harmony between nature and modernity, as if each piece were an unfolding flower. The design avoids overt ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the purity of the glass and the play of light within its colorful gradient, bringing a sense of calm and distinction to the interior. The 'Lotos' set may be displayed as a unique accent in a contemporary dining room or as a collector’s piece in a glass cabinet. It can be paired with geometric ceramics or minimalist tableware to highlight its modernist character. The goblets
