This set of four chairs, produced by FAMEG Radomsko in Poland in the 1980s, is rooted in the tradition of the Viennese school of furniture. The frames are crafted from bent beechwood in a warm, light honey-brown shade with a semi-matte finish. The seats are hand-woven from natural rattan in a light beige tone. The backrests curve into a heart motif—a direct reference to classic Thonet design—while the slender, gently splayed legs and bentwood under-seat supports emphasize the lightness and harmony of the form. The wood displays a consistent tone with subtly visible grain, and the seats feature an even, fine weave. Joints are smooth and almost invisible, reflecting precise craftsmanship. The set is preserved in very good vintage condition, showing only minimal scuffs on the legs and a light patina characteristic of authentic use, with no visible repairs or damage.The shape of these chairs evokes the ambience of Viennese cafés at the turn of the 20th century. The heart-shaped backs seem to speak of past meetings at small tables, where the refined lightness of the structure encouraged long conversations and relaxation.
