This five-piece set of crystal liqueur glasses, crafted by the Józefina Glassworks in Szklarska Poręba in the early 1920s, stands as a testament to the artistry of Polish glassmaking during the Art Deco era. Each glass displays a sophisticated double-layered structure: deep amber, cobalt blue, emerald green, rich amethyst, and smoky black hues are harmoniously balanced with clear, cut crystal. The decorative, hand-cut geometric motifs—chevrons, linear accents, and stylised ovals—encircle the bowls, while each substantial, three-faceted stem transitions elegantly from a transparent base to match the colour of the bowl, exemplifying architectural rigour and balanced, sculptural proportions. The glossy surface and smooth tactile quality are typical of high-grade overlay crystal, with the preserved 'crystal, hand-cut' manufacturer labels reinforcing provenance and craftsmanship. The set is excellently preserved, with only a faint surface scratch visible on one glass as evidence of previous use.
