The 'Asteroid' plate set was designed by Jan Sylwester Drost for Huta Szkła Gospodarczego 'Ząbkowice' in Poland during the 1960s. The set consists of one large serving plate (approx. 33 cm in diameter) and six smaller dessert plates (approx. 20 cm in diameter), all crafted from pressed, mass-colored soda-lime glass in a deep, cool-toned emerald green. The surface is adorned with a regular pattern of raised dots, giving the plates a distinctive texture and a geometric look characteristic of mid-century modern design.
