ABOUT PRODUCTID 5962
This set of two satin Murano glass containers embodies Italian craftsmanship from the 1980s, rooted in the spirit of postmodernism. Each vessel features an expressive combination of matte, milky glass surfaces with a contrasting black collar and a spherical, semi-translucent stopper in a vivid color. One container is rendered in green with a red stopper, the other in red with a blue stopper. Hand-blown construction is evident in the subtle irregularities and minor imperfections typical of Murano glass, underscoring the authenticity of each piece. The geometric shape and playful proportions reference the toy-like, whimsical character of 1980s Italian design. Both containers retain their original manufacturer's labels. Dimensions: approximately 17 × 12 cm; height without stopper 12 cm; stoppers with diameters of 5 and 6 cm. The set remains in good vintage condition, with minor signs of use and minimal manufacturing flaws. These containers tell the story of Italian postmodernism, a period when designers experimented with color and form, moving beyond classic elegance in favor of playfulness, boldness, and surprise. The satin surface gently diffuses light, softening the saturated hues as if each container was meant to be both a functional object and a small work of domestic art. Their geometric, toy-like forms evoke the creative freedom of 1980s Italian interiors—full of energy and unexpected combinations. The set may be displayed on a sideboard or low console in
