This set of six Spanish bar stools from the 1960s embodies a brutalist approach with a distinctly handcrafted character. Each stool is made from solid wood, finished in a matte to semi-matte sheen that highlights the natural variations in color—from deep brown to honey and walnut tones—as well as visible tool marks, knots, and surface irregularities. The sculpted seats feature upward-curving edges, and the tall, narrow backrests are punctuated by decorative keyhole-shaped cutouts. The robust three-legged construction is reinforced with a metal footrest ring, which displays a gentle patina and subtle signs of age. Exposed joinery, uneven wood textures, and local abrasions reinforce the honest, utilitarian spirit of the design and its vintage authenticity.
