This set of six sculptural brutalist dining chairs from the 1960s stands as an emblem of artisanal Belgian craftsmanship and raw, organic aesthetics. Each chair is hand-crafted from solid wood, celebrating the individuality of form—legs and supports reveal natural curves, knots, and expressive wood grain. The seats are cut with irregular edges, while the horizontal backrests, supported by two vertical posts, each display subtle differences in shape and angle, reinforcing the handmade nature of the set. The finish is a warm, honey-brown semi-matte, enhancing the wood's innate texture and gentle sheen. Joints are visible, and there are no metal fastenings, underscoring the authenticity and primal character of the design. The surfaces are mostly smooth but retain a tactile roughness, particularly on the legs and edges.
