This set of six bistro chairs by Frederick Weinberg, designed in the 1960s, exemplifies a harmonious blend of natural rattan and matte black wrought iron. Each chair features a fan-shaped backrest and ergonomically molded seat, tightly woven in a warm, honey-beige rattan that contrasts with the deep black of the frame. The slender, slightly splayed legs emphasize the lightness of the form, while partially wicker-wrapped armrests offer both decorative and tactile interest. The backrests are finished with delicate ball finials, and visible, clean welds at the joints attest to the craftsmanship of the era.
