This set of six chairs, designed by Poul Volther for the Danish manufacturer FDB Mobler in the 1960s, features solid oak frames in a subtle medium-brown tone, accentuated by a matte, waxed finish that highlights the wood’s natural grain. The proportions are compact—78 cm high, 50 cm wide, and 49 cm deep—with gently tapered legs and rounded edges lending a sense of lightness. The backrests consist of three horizontally arranged, slightly curved slats, establishing a rhythmic, geometric accent while providing comfortable support. The seats, upholstered in matte black natural leather, form a refined contrast with the warmth of the oak, and their taut, smooth surface is free from visible creases.
