ABOUT PRODUCTID 9959
This set of six dining chairs, designed by Johannes Andersen in Denmark during the 1960s, is a quintessential example of Danish mid-century modern. Each chair features a solid teak wood frame in a warm, medium tone, finished with a matte Danish oil that highlights the natural grain and understated reddish-brown glow of the timber. The design is defined by clean, balanced lines—from the gently curved backrests to the subtly tapered legs and the seamless joinery. Newly upholstered seats and backrests in a soft, light beige fabric with a subtle texture provide comfort and a refined contrast to the warmth of the teak. Precise joinery, including visible mortise and tenon connections, ensures durability. The set has been professionally restored: wood elements cleaned and oiled, upholstery fully replaced. Condition: fully restored, with no visible signs of wear. The form of these chairs speaks to the spirit of the 1960s, when Scandinavian design prioritized harmonious proportions and a reverence for authentic materials
