This set of six Model 83 chairs – four side chairs and two armchairs – was designed by Niels O. Møller and produced by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark during the 1960s. Each piece is crafted from warm, medium-brown teak with a subtle reddish hue, finished in a semi-matte lacquer that highlights the wood grain and offers a soft sheen. The seats are upholstered in high-quality, smooth black natural leather, providing a striking contrast to the wooden frames. The design is characterized by organic, flowing lines: gently curved backrests with vertical slats, elegantly tapered legs, and sculpted armrests on the two armchairs that seamlessly integrate into the frame. Visible in the detailed images are the precise joinery and absence of external hardware, underscoring the refined Danish woodworking tradition. The proportions are light and balanced, combining visual harmony with ergonomic comfort. The set has undergone comprehensive restoration – the wood has been cleaned, treated, and lacquered; the upholstery is newly replaced.
