This set of six Occhio dining chairs, designed by Roel Vandebeek for Drisag in early 2000s Belgium, exemplifies postmodern design sensibilities. The frames are made of black powder-coated metal with a matte, industrial finish, while the upholstery is rendered in a vivid, matte red velvet covering both the seat and the contoured backrest. Each chair features distinctive, round black metal armrests, set at an outward angle, reinforcing the sculptural, avant-garde character of the set. The slender, straight legs and thin black piping along the upholstery emphasize the geometric lines of the design. The set is in very good vintage condition, with only minimal, age-appropriate signs of use on the fabric and frames, and no major defects or repairs. All original elements are intact.
