This set of six Occhio chairs, designed by Roel Vandebeek for Drisag at the beginning of the 21st century, is a notable example of Belgian postmodern design. The construction is based on a matte black powder-coated metal frame, with round, outward-angled metal armrests that introduce a playful, sculptural element. The seats and contoured backrests are upholstered in matte red velvet, outlined with thin black piping that sharply defines each chair's silhouette. Slender, straight legs and the interplay of straight lines with gentle curves emphasize the geometric character of the design.
