This set of six cognac glasses from the mid-20th century, crafted from clear, high-quality glass, embodies the classic proportions of mid-century modern design. Each glass features a wide, rounded bowl, a short, robust stem, and a broad, stable base for comfortable handling. The most distinctive element is the thick, metallic gold band circling each rim, its mirror-like luster contrasting with the smooth, transparent glass. Originating from Austria in the 1950s and 60s, the set is preserved in excellent condition, free from chips or scratches. Original manufacturer stickers remain affixed to the bases, and the glasses are offered in their period factory box, which bears only minor signs of age while remaining structurally sound.These glasses carry the evocative spirit of an era that relished everyday rituals with a touch of brilliance.
