The set of six dessert plates from the Persian series represents a fine example of late 19th- and early 20th-century European faience, produced by the renowned Petrus Regout manufactory in Maastricht, Netherlands. Each 20 cm plate is crafted from ceramic and decorated with a hand-colored transferware motif featuring a central floral bouquet and a broad ornamental border of stylized flowers and leaves. The color palette combines warm, creamy white with vibrant cobalt blue and deep terracotta red, while the rim is accentuated by a glossy, gently undulating blue edge. The surface is smooth and glazed, imparting a subtle sheen typical of faience. The design reflects the European fascination with Persian and Oriental motifs of the period, evident in the symmetrical, intricate patterns and rich coloring.
