This set of six dining chairs, designed by Pietro Costantini and produced in Italy during the 1980s, exemplifies the late 20th-century Italian approach to modernism. The construction is based on glossy, lacquered wood in a deep black tone, which seamlessly transitions into slender, square-section legs and high, gently arched backrests. The seats and backs are upholstered in taut, smooth natural leather—also in uniform black—with minimal visible stitching and a subtle patina. All joints and connections are concealed, with no visible hardware, highlighting the precision of Italian craftsmanship. The proportions are carefully balanced: overall height 96 cm, width 46 cm, depth 45 cm, and seat height 47 cm. The surfaces remain in good condition, displaying only minor scratches and wear consistent with vintage domestic use, with no significant damage or structural alterations.
