This set of six dining chairs, designed by Antonin Suman for Ton and crafted in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s, exemplifies classic mid-century modern bentwood construction in warm, medium-brown beech. The wood frames display an authentic patina, with visible wear including scuffs, scratches, and small lacquer losses, especially on the legs and armrests. The finish is semi-matte, with occasional areas of gloss from age and use. Each seat is tightly woven from synthetic rattan in a natural, light honey tone, offering subtle contrast to the darker wood and remaining in excellent condition. The armrests and backrest are formed from a single, smoothly curved piece, giving the chairs a sculptural, airy quality.
