ABOUT PRODUCTID 26820
This set of six dining chairs, designed by Rainer Daumiller for the Danish manufacturer Hirtshals Savvaerk, is a direct expression of Scandinavian design sensibilities from the 1970s, when natural materials and simplicity of form became hallmarks of thoughtful living. Each chair is crafted entirely from solid pine in a warm honey-brown tone, with pronounced knots and visible wood grain lending unique character to every piece. Cylindrical legs and armrests, gently rounded edges, and visible dowel joinery emphasize artisanal construction, while the subtly curved backrests and concave seats reflect the ergonomic priorities of the functionalist era. Four of the chairs are armless; two feature integrated armrests, introducing practical variety within the set. The semi-matte finish enhances the tactile quality of the wood, and minor scratches with a soft patina subtly attest to the authenticity of vintage. The entire set is preserved in very good original condition, with no major damage or signs of repair. This collection echoes the story of Northern Europe
