ABOUT PRODUCTID 5032
This set of six dining chairs, designed by Johannes Andersen in Denmark during the 1960s, exemplifies the essence of Scandinavian modernism. Each chair features a solid rosewood frame with a deep chocolate hue and pronounced natural grain, enhanced by a satin finish that accentuates the luxurious wood. The legs are slender and gently tapered, while the harmoniously curved backrests and carefully balanced proportions evoke the era’s signature lightness. Seats and backs are newly upholstered in a high-quality, dark grey fabric with a distinct, visible weave, tightly fitted for a crisp and tailored appearance. The joinery is precise, with smooth transitions between elements, and the seats are slightly wider with tall, supportive backrests, ensuring comfort and stability. The set is in very good condition – the wooden frames display only minor, superficial signs of use, and the upholstery is entirely new. Ready for everyday use.
These chairs seem to narrate the story of Denmark’s design golden age, when rosewood and refined simplicity answered the call for furniture that was both functional and aesthetically elevated. Their lines resonate with the craftsmanship
