This set of six Italian dining chairs from the 1980s encapsulates postmodern design’s fascination with sculptural form and playful geometry. The structure is built from bent metal tubing in a deep, neutral black with a matte finish on the frame and a subtly satin sheen on the fabric upholstery. Both the seats and fan-shaped backrests are upholstered in black fabric, whose texture, depending on the light, takes on a soft, almost velvety character.
