ABOUT PRODUCTID 42117
This set of two spice containers, designed by Pierre Forssell for Gensel in Sweden in 2009, embodies the essence of 21st-century Scandinavian design. Each piece features a slender, conical silhouette crafted from brushed stainless steel with a cool, matte silver tone. The glossy black plastic base creates a striking visual contrast, accentuating the geometric purity of the design. Minimalist markings—'S' for salt and 'P' for pepper—executed in a modern sans-serif font, enhance the contemporary character. The containers are seamless, with no visible joints aside from a single polished rivet at the base, reflecting a high standard of craftsmanship. The set consists of two containers: the taller one (11.4 cm high, 4.2 cm diameter) intended for salt, and the shorter (9 cm high, 3.5 cm diameter) for pepper. Condition: very good, with smooth surfaces and no visible signs of wear or patina, maintaining their original appearance. These containers evoke the quiet voice of contemporary Scandinavia—measured, cool, and attentive to detail. Their forms create a dialogue of simplicity and precision, as if suggesting that even the everyday act of seasoning deserves an object of sculptural quality. The steel softly reflects light, offering a sense of order and harmony, while the black base anchors the composition as a subtle counterpoint.Pierre Forssell's set is well suited for interiors that embrace minimalism or modern Scandinavian style. It can be paired with white porcelain, matte glass, or natural wood to emphasize its precise lines. In a setting of neutral, understated colors and simple forms, the set will be a discreet yet distinctive accent on the dining table or kitchen counter—a choice for spaces where clarity and lightness are key, and every detail matters.
