ABOUT PRODUCTID 2205
This set of three model 31 chairs, designed by Kai Kristiansen in Denmark in the 1970s, represents the essence of Scandinavian modernism. Crafted from teak wood with a matte finish, each piece showcases the natural grain and a warm, subtly reddish-brown hue characteristic of vintage teak. The slender, tapered legs and organically curved backrests flow seamlessly into the seat, creating a harmonious and ergonomic silhouette. The original upholstery, in understated shades of brown, grey, and olive, features a refined, slightly textured fabric with a subtle geometric motif. Precise joinery and well-balanced proportions reveal the designer’s attention to comfort and aesthetics. The chairs are preserved in very good vintage condition: the teak has been refreshed, showing only minor traces of age, while the upholstery remains free from visible wear or stains—ready for everyday use.
The quiet elegance of these chairs tells the story of Danish 1970s design, where harmony between form and function was almost a way of life.
