This set of three mortars with pestles, crafted from solid brass, was made in Czechoslovakia around the 1960s. Each mortar features a robust, balanced form with a wide, stable base and a monumental rim, ensuring both functionality and presence. The surfaces are adorned with intricate, raised geometric and stylized vegetal patterns, as well as a band of inscriptions encircling the lip. Two mortars are equipped with angular, squared handles, while the central one is distinguished by rounded, looped handles that lend a softer outline.
