This set of three Pantonova dining chairs, designed by Verner Panton for Fritz Hansen in 1971, captures the radical spirit of mid-century modernist design. Each chair features a geometric, open frame crafted from chrome-plated steel wire shaped into a fluid grid, forming a transparent, sculptural base. The chairs have a generous, rectangular backrest and deep seat, both upholstered in a vivid, matte orange hopsack fabric with a tightly woven, subtly textured finish. The upholstery presents gentle, authentic traces of use—minor discoloration and subtle spots, especially on one chair—consistent with careful vintage preservation. The chrome frames remain perfectly intact, with no signs of rust or damage. With dimensions of 56 cm width and 86 cm height, the proportions ensure ergonomic comfort, while the open construction lends remarkable visual lightness, giving each piece a floating appearance. The overall condition is very good vintage: the chairs are structurally sound, and fabric wear is limited to superficial, age-appropriate marks.
