The set of three 'Trombone' pendant lamps, designed by Jo Hammerborg for the Danish brand Fog & Mørup in the 1960s, offers a striking study in geometry and light. The slim, cylindrical bodies are crafted from aluminum with a satin-brushed brass finish, resulting in a warm, muted golden hue. Distinctive vertical cut-outs along the lower section reveal a copper-toned interior, providing a subtle yet impactful accent when illuminated. Each lamp is suspended from a black textile cord, reinforcing the minimalist, modernist character of the design. The proportions (24 cm high, 12 cm in diameter) evoke a sense of architectural coherence, and details such as the small black screw at the top of each cylinder speak to the meticulous attention to finish.
