This set of three spice containers, designed by Pierre Forssell for Swedish manufacturer Gense, exemplifies mid-century modern design rooted in the Scandinavian tradition of the 1950s, though the pieces themselves date from the 1990s. Each container features a tall, slender conical silhouette crafted from highly polished, cool-toned stainless steel. The bases are made of black, matte bakelite or plastic, providing a strong contrast to the reflective metallic surface. The set includes a sugar container (height 15.5 cm, diameter 6 cm), a salt shaker (height 11 cm, diameter 4.5 cm, marked with an 'S'), and a pepper shaker (height 9 cm, diameter 3.5 cm, marked with a 'P'). Subtle engraved letters and a small brass rivet at the base of each cone are details that serve the function of clear identification. Surfaces remain smooth, with impeccably fitted joints and no visible signs of heavy use. The set is preserved in very good vintage condition, unrestored, with original components and authentic patina. The geometric simplicity of these containers speaks in the voice of an era that valued purity of form and utility over ornament. Forssell’s minimalism reflects the restrained
