ABOUT PRODUCTID 29523
This set of two Murano bowls, designed by Flavio Poli for Seguso in the 1960s/70s, epitomizes Italian sommerso glass from the mid-century modern era. Each piece is crafted from thick, hand-blown glass: one features a deep cobalt core encased in a transparent layer with turquoise accents along the rim, the other presents a rich ruby red center surrounded by clear glass. The highly polished surfaces intensify the saturation of the colors, giving both objects a luminous, almost liquid appearance. The blue bowl evokes an organic, flower-like form with undulating, petal-shaped edges, while the red bowl stands out with its amorphous, softly flowing outline. Both are notably heavy and stable, reflecting the renowned craftsmanship of Murano glassmakers. The surfaces remain smooth, free of chips or scratches, and the set is in very good vintage condition, with no signs of significant wear or restoration. The underside of the blue bowl
