ABOUT PRODUCTID 26621
This set of two coffee tables from Belgium, produced in the 1970s, exemplifies the bold spirit of brutalist design of that era. Each table consists of a substantial, round soda-lime smoked glass top with a brownish-gray tint and a matte, softly diffused surface. The tops rest freely—without visible fasteners—on sculptural cast aluminum bases, one in a cool silver tone, the other in a warmer bronze-gold finish, creating a deliberate contrast within the pair. The bases are highly textured, with a distinctly hammered, industrial character and pronounced, angular lines forming geometric arches. The low, broad silhouettes and generous proportions give the tables a sense of monumentality and stability, while the absence of visible joints highlights their sculptural presence. Both tables are preserved in good vintage condition, showing minor scratches on the glass and a gentle patina on the aluminum, with no major damage or repairs. The design and materials of these tables
